In the lightWhen the banknote is held up to the light, the mirror image of a multi-toned watermark of the printed portrait of King Matthias Corvinus and, positioned horizontally, the value numeral "1000" in a lighter colour than that of the banknote appear; embedded in the paper, the security thread gets visible; irregular shapes of an image printed on the front and back of the banknote combine to form a complete "H" (see-through register). |

See-through registerIrregular shapes of an image printed on the front and back of the banknote combine to form a complete "H" when held up to the light. (visible from both sides) |
MovingMove the mouse to the gray area at the left corner of the banknote. If you move the mouse up and down or right and left, the banknote rotates and tilts to the right direction. (You can see the changing of the visual elements of the holographic foil and check the colour-changing effect of the optically variable ink.) Move the mouse at the half-round area to rotate the banknote horizontally. (You can see that the inscription of "MNB" appears in the hidden picture, and check the iridescent printing on the backside.) |
Optically variable ink (OVI)Visible on the front of the 1000 forint banknote. When tilted the central raven motif of the front side of the banknote changes from purple to green. |
Holographic foilOn the front left side of the banknote you can see an articulated holographic foil strip. On its surface, the mirror image of the portrait of King Matthias Corvinus, a raven holding a ring and two horizontal number "1000" around the portrait. |

Intaglio printingIntaglio print is used for the main printed motifs of the banknotes: portrait of King Matthias Corvinus, denomination both in figures and letters, the coat of arms of Hungary, the inscription "MAGYAR NEMZETI BANK", two horizontal lines on the bottom of the holographic foil, historical scene on the back. |
TactilityOn the bottom left corner of the banknote, there are two horizontal lines with high tactility that helps the blind and visually impaired people to identify the value of the banknote. |
Under UV-A lightIf you look at the watermark area under UV-A light on the front, the image a raven holding a ring in a frame and the number 1000 appears. The raven and the outer part of the frame fluoresce green. The number and the inner part of the frame fluoresce orange. To the left of the portrait the background of the horizontal number 1000 appears in green, surrounded by orange and green ornamental motif.

Under UV-C lightIf you look at the watermark area under UV-C light on the front, the image a raven holding a ring in a frame
and the number 1000 appears. The raven and the outer part of the frame fluoresce red. The number and the inner part of the frame fluoresce brown. To the left of the portrait the background of the vertical number 1000 appears in green, surrounded by brown and red ornamental motif.
