Report on the Balance of Payments

The Report on the Balance of Payments is published quarterly, after the release of Hungary’s balance of payments statistics. The Report provides a comprehensive assessment of Hungary’s external balance, analyses macroeconomic imbalances using a number of indicators and identifies factors and developments critical in terms of the country’s external vulnerability. Developments in external balance is of key importance for financial stability, as conclusions can be drawn from developments in the balance of payments processes about the sustainability of economic growth and the related risks.
