1. At its meeting on 10 April 2007, the Monetary Council considered the latest economic and monetary developments. In accordance with its meeting calendar, the Council did not take a decision on the central bank base rate.
2. Also at the Council’s meeting, Henrik Auth resigned from his position of Deputy Chairman of the Monetary Council, while retaining his functions as Deputy Governor of the Bank, Deputy Governor with general responsibilities and member of the Monetary Council. The Monetary Council elected Ferenc Karvalits as its Deputy Chairman.
