The Monetary Council reviewed the economic and financial developments. The Council did not discuss a change in the central bank base rate in accordance with its published meeting schedule. At its meeting on Tuesday, the Monetary Council examined possible directions for simplifying the monetary policy toolkit, in this context the Council decided that excess reserves remunerate the base rate from 1 October.
