The Magyar Nemzeti Bank considers it a key priority to develop financial culture in Hungary. Accordingly, it uses the means at its disposal to support economic education and the spread of financial literacy. This edition is an update of a book written in the interest of promoting the broader understanding of economics and financial matters. Economic Balance and Growth presents a detailed discussion of the new economic policy considerations, innovations and tools which led to the outstanding success of the Hungarian economy after 2010 even by the standards of economic history. Fiscal and financial stabilisation as well as a reform of monetary policy created the conditions for sustainable economic growth. As a result, Hungary has returned to a long-term convergence path.
