The MNB has been a member of SUERF, a non-profit association founded in 1963, since 2022. SUERF’s secretariat is hosted by the Austrian Central Bank in Vienna.
SUERF’s activities focus on understanding, researching, analysing, and discussing financial markets and institutions, monetary affairs, financial supervision and regulation, and related issues. The non-profit organisation aims to facilitate dialogue between the public and private sectors and the academic sphere. It organises international events and meetings independently or in cooperation with other organisations, and supports financial and economic research and the publication of their findings. Since the beginning of its membership, MNB employees have had the opportunity to participate in SUERF’s professional events, access the organisation’s professional materials, and take part in a variety of projects.
